Homework & Grading Scale

Homework 

Students in third grade will have homework each night (Monday - Thursday). Homework for spelling is nightly and should be returned to school each day. Math and Literacy Packets are assigned on Monday and due on Friday each week. Students should write down their homework in their agendas each day, and parents/guardians should check this each night to ensure that their child has completed his/her nightly homework or studying. Parents are not required to sign the agenda nightly, but I encourage you to check your student's agenda nightly to ensure that he/she is doing his/her homework. Homework grades are based on effort and completion (both of which must be shown to receive full credit).

Thursday Folders

Students will be coming home on Thursdays with a folder that contains checked work and graded material. Please empty out the work, sign the folder, an send it back to school with your child. If any papers belonging to another student end up in your folder by mistake, please send it back to school.  

Grading Scale: 

90 - 100 --> A

80 - 89 --> B

70 - 79 --> C

60 - 69 --> D

Below 60 --> F
